The first time I steeped this tea, when I used the same amount of leaves (a slightly rounded tsp) and water (around 10 oz) that I always do, I thought that it was bland. It smelled great on the front end — mildly grassy and woody — but the flavor was almost not there. But after I steeped another cup with more tea (2 heaping tsp) and less water (~8 oz), and let it go another minute or so (a total of roughly 2.5 minutes), I had an entirely different experience. The aromas from the bag were squarely present in the cup, with a little bit of richness to compliment the sweet. It was still light and delicate, of course. (I found that using the same leaves for a second steep requires upwards of four minutes to get another flavorful cup.) But if you prefer your green teas to be light, mild, and only moderately complex without a hint of bitterness, this one’s worth checking out.
